This process does not necessarily require vast investment in software either. CDG can host the documentation and do the authoring/illustration using our own software licenses. This enables companies to benefit from the ‘re-use of data’ advantages provided by S1000D, without the significant investment requirements which normally prevent such projects being viable.

We used this year’s Defence Vehicle Dynamics (DVD) exhibition at the Millbrook Test Facility, Bedfordshire to discuss this issue with many defence suppliers.
Organised by the MoD’s Specialist and Utility Vehicles IPT, the exhibition took place on 25th – 26th June 2008.
This year the event was also being supported by the General Support Vehicles IPT, Battlefield Infrastructure & Engineer Group, Deployable Support & Test Equipment IPT and four other IPTs.
If you didn’t attend, but might be interested for next year, we suggest you visit the event website, http://www.theevent.co.uk to see how you might benefit.
