The Conference

PTC World brought together hundreds of engineers and IT specialists from some of the country’s leading companies to discuss the latest trends in design and process management software. With at least eight customer case studies and talks from some of the industry’s leading specialists, the event was full of useful information.

CDG talked to a number of delegates about converting documentation to S1000D. We also discussed the availability of additional design engineering resources to work on activities such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) covering multiple aspects including: stress analysis; thermal analysis; crash and impact analysis; fatigue and durability analysis.

There was also interest shown in our Technical Publications Services which provide a wide range of technical manuals for manufacturing companies in the commercial and defence sectors.

The winner of the CDG Prize Draw was drawn and announced by PTC UK’s Vice President Richard Tinsdeall. The draw took place at the Drinks Reception held after the event on the balcony overlooking the Motor Heritage Museum’s main hall. The car in the background is a Model ‘T’ Ford! The winner will be going to Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire to drive a Porsche Cayman, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage and a Single Seat Formula Renault Racing Car.
